Note that's not one piece for every resource track, that's one per resource, if you have 5 brick you literally have 5 wooden bricks in a column on your player board. The player takes the turn by moving their figure to a free action tile, using its action immediately.

Sit back and accumulate a fortune from your property empire, but watch out, avoid taxes, jail or going bankrupt. The rest of the game simply comprises of cardboard action spaces and buildings, which all have a pleasant feel and decent, if forgettable, art on them. In Glasgow, you’ll almost always edge forwards unless you deal (during setup) a run of “rubbish” placements and then there happens to be something really good at the end of them.
